The aroma of freshly baked bread..
Homemade Bread is much more tastier than bread purchased from the store. It is Healthy, Delicious and Easy. All you need are basic ingredients to make a simple loaf. Oh and it does not take much time.
Basic Ingredients –
- Plain Flour 3-3/4 cup
- Lukewarm water 1-1/3 cup
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter 2 tablespoon
- Yeast 1 teaspoon
- Powdered Milk 2 tablespoon
The ingredient Sugar is missing from the counter. And guess what I had forgotten about it. I mean how on earth can anyone forget Sugar.. But while mixing all ingredients in the baking container, I added sugar.
Add all of the above mixture into your bread making container. Lucky me, my parents bought a Bread making machine. And the best part, I was able to go outside to attend a Play when I pressed “Start” button on the machine and return at the exact time when the machine turned off winks
Set the manual settings to Regular, 3:50hrs.
However, if you wish to bake your bread using the Oven. You will have to make the dough first and then add the other ingredients slowly. Use the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
When its done, pull it out immediately and remove it from the container to cool. Let it cool completely before slicing.
Makes a mind blowing toast. Started my day by slicing a slice, toasted till golden brown, spread a bit of butter on it and a cup of tea. Truly, truly heavenly.
